She got to fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was dismissed the team required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, if necessary, we believe we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing competing nations at this championship should hear.

During the last week a feeling they will win from any position has become more firm - this victory coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with old rivals England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.
